NLT for Teams is here. Here's why we built it, and who it's for.
For the past several months, Eva Murray and I have been doing something we probably should have done earlier.
We talked to people. A lot of them.
Tableau champions, analytics managers, data leaders, and product owners across the US, the UK, and Europe. We sat in on conversations with Tableau's own customer success managers and sales leaders. We wanted to understand what organizations actually need when it comes to developing their Tableau teams - not what we assumed they needed, but what they told us directly.
Three things came back consistently.
First: companies are hiring strong Tableau developers and struggling to keep them challenged. The training options in the market are almost entirely built for beginners. There is almost nothing designed for advanced users, and nothing that takes intermediate analysts all the way to the level their organizations need them to reach.
Second: analytics managers are under pressure to show that Tableau is delivering a return. Strong technical skills are what separate Tableau as a dashboarding tool from Tableau as an analytics engine that changes how an organization operates. The skills gap is a business problem, not just a training problem and organizations find it hard to close this gap effectively.
Third: people want real human support. They most certainly don’t want a bot or a help article. A person who understands their situation and can help them build momentum as they develop their data communities and Centres of Excellence.
We listened. And NLT for Teams is what we built in response.

Who this is built for
If you're an analytics leader who has a capable Tableau team but knows they haven't reached their ceiling, this is for you. If you're under pressure to demonstrate ROI from your Tableau investment and you know the answer is in your people's skills, this is for you. If you're trying to build a data community that actually sticks, this is for you.
We work with teams of 15 to 10,000 across industries. The right place to start is a conversation so we fully understand where your team is today and what you want them to be able to do.
A note on who's behind this
I'm Andy Kriebel. Tableau Visionary Hall of Fame, 19 years in analytics, and the founder of NLT. I focus on the technical depth: Tableau mastery, advanced skill development, and the kind of training that turns capable analysts into the people their organization relies on.
Eva Murray is my co-builder on NLT for Teams, and her background is where this program gets its range. Eva is an expert in data visualization communication, presentation and storytelling skills for data professionals, and the organizational side of building analytics communities. She wrote the book on building data communities - literally - and works as a career coach helping analysts develop the soft skills that determine whether excellent technical work actually lands with the people it's made for. Between us, we cover the full picture.
